Drawing at the Skate Park
Amy and I joined forces on Saturday to take our drawing classes to the FDR skate park to draw. I last took photos here three years ago. It is such an amazing space and constantly changing.

Beautiful Bark
A wet spring day is the perfect time to check in on one of my favorite trees. This is a maple of some sort. I thought I'd recorded it's name in a previous post but I can't seem to find it. So I'll have to pop back over to the Scott Arboretum to find out.

Penultimate Competition
At yesterday's competition I was much higher up and farther away than usual. The next competition is Olivia's last. Although I think some of the kids are working on one final show for a talent competition at school. But these High School days are winding down. Sob. I'm sure I'll be fine...

Last Winter Color
After Thursday's long rain and warm temperatures I expect signs of life to become more aggressive. As such I imagine this will be my last photos of the subtle colors of winter.

Circle of Life
These remains were not too far from the eagle's nest so I'm thinking one of the eagles had duck for lunch. Nature is so beautiful, even in decay.

Final Days
This is the last week of my show, Reconstructed, at the University of Delaware in Newark. The Closing Reception is tonight at 6pm during which I'll be giving a short gallery talk. And so a few more shots from the exhibition.

Snow on Trees
I'm milking this last snow storm for all it's worth. Today we had piles of mulch beside piles of snow. The next season is ready to move in.

A Fine Spring Day
I am happy for one more day of snow. I felt a bit cheated this year since so many of our snow storms happened overnight and left me with nothing to photograph. Wandering around in the snow with my camera is one of my favorite activities.

Great Horned Owl
In recent weeks I have seen a Long-eared, Saw-whet, and this Great Horned Owl at Heinz NWR. It's one of the reasons I love this place. It's such a treat to start my day with something like this.
