A Dark and Grainy Morning
A few more images from my walk at Crow's Nest Preserve. I've spent the whole week planning classes and writing syllabi. Two down one more to go. It's going to be a very busy semester.

Red-headed Woodpecker
I had an exciting morning as I got to try out my new boots, rain pants, & fleece and see my first 3 or 4 Red-headed Woodpeckers. It was terribly gloomy and dark and the woodpeckers stayed far away so the photo is cropped a lot. But there it is, nicely clear (in a grainy sort of way.)
