Fishing Line

This vulture was killed by fishing line.  It's important to dispose of fishing line properly or to remove any you find lying around.  Our litter can kill.

Black Vultures

As many bald eagles as I saw on Saturday there were even more black vultures.  Several times they flew so close over my head that I could hear the swoosh, swoosh of their wing beats.

Spillways Are Open

I have a lot of photos for this post.  It's the first time I've been at the Conowingo Dam when the spillways were open.  I'd heard rumors that the eagles went crazy fishing when that happened.  Maybe they were done by the time I got there.  I had visions of photographing an eagle flying in front of the rainbow glittering off the spray but only the seagulls and pigeons were cooperative.

So anyway, here are some photos from a beautiful Thanksgiving morning.
