Root Bundles
I have a thing for tangled roots lately. It took all my will not to pull out that sign so I could get a better shot of the bottom plant. I REALLY wanted to do it...but then I didn't want to get kicked out of Longwood Gardens. So I made do with this angle which turned out pretty well, thanks again to my manual focus option!!

February at Conowingo Damn
Monday when I visited Longwood Gardens a bald eagle flew overhead as I exited the Conservatory. I decided to drive down to the Conowingo Dam and see if any eagles might be there this time of year. I've been curious to see who hangs out at the dam in the spring. Around Thanksgiving 100's of eagles stop by during their migration.
It was much quieter. Just a few ducks, seagulls, geese, and vultures. And then flying through the air, a pair of bald eagles. They seem to be nesting on the wire tower.

Valentine's Day
Red flowers for Valentine's Day. I took myself off to Longwood Gardens for the day. I'm really getting the hang of the manual camera settings the result of which is rich, intense color! (and the aforementioned photos of deer in trees.)

Fake
This bird is fake. I thought it was real. I even thought it had flown away because I couldn't see it when I turned the corner. Which turns out to be because it's a photo mounted on something flat. I got suspicious when it was still there during Tuesday's class, holding that exact same position. So I've been fooled.
