Flowers and Butterflies

We came off the cable car back at the bottom and were greeted with lots of lovely flowers and butterflies enjoying the break in the rain.

Mount Cardigan: A Closer Look

 Like I said in the last post clouds aren't good for seeing far away sites but they are great for looking at rocks.  And that is one of my all time favorite things to do.  So here are some of those great rocks plus a leaf bug who also decided to climb the mountain that day.

What the heck is this???

I found this guy hanging around outside my front door today. I've never seen anything like it. There are a lot of pine needles in this photo but the black ones coming from it's body are part of this insect.
