West Chester Marching Band

While we were waiting for the Cavalcade of Bands judges to tally up their scores we got to see an amazing performance by the West Chester University Marching Band.  It was a very cool fire themed show and these photos are just a few highlights.

Champs Again

Saturday our band tied for second place at Champs in Hershey, PA.  It was a great show and it's been a lot of fun to watch!

More Color

This is for all the people telling me we didn't have fall.  From the perspective of leaf color we've had the fall that just keeps on giving.

I'm having serious problems deciding which photos to post today.  The ducks at Heinz NWR are letting me get a bit closer.  Good thing too since my go to close duck place, Forsythe NWR, is still closed after Hurricane Sandy.

Fall Color Remains

I spent the day at Bombay Hook with a couple of friends from the Heinz Photo Group.  The birds were a bit farther away then I would have liked but there was still some beautiful fall color to enjoy.

So this is a round up of almost everything I saw in and around my feeder today.  The activity was amazing.  Birds that I've never seen near my feeder before were dropping by to check it out.  Every time I tried to break away to do something else I would rush back to discover I'd missed something like the Red-bellied Woodpecker and the Red Fox.  Never managed to get a photo of either.  I still have to figure out how to get some light in the area around the feeder.  Many of the photos are a bit (or a lot) grainy.

Birds of Woluwe Park

Some kind of crow but I'm not sure what kind.

Eurasian Coot.  I can never get over those feet!

Egyptian Goose.  These are the birds I saw from the road.

Upland Goose.

Great-crested Grebe

Great-crested Grebes

As we were driving out of Brussels the first time desperately trying to figure out how to get on the highway to Luxembourg I saw a park.  And in that park, even as we were speeding by, I could see that there were birds I wanted to stop and photograph.  So on our last night in Europe after visiting the art museums that had been closed the first time around I dragged Matt and Olivia out to Woluwe Park.  This is probably too many photos for one post but I feel like it's time to wrap this trip up and I really did see all these birds in less than an hour.  So here they are identified to the best of my ability...ahem.
